North Seattle Community College is a state college, which is widely known, apart from its academic courses, for its high-quality faculty, and for the attention they place on international students. Here students will have the opportunity to earn their Associates degree after two years of study, or transfer to a university, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at an American university. International students who study at North Seattle Community College in the US will have good memories of their study time. To help make this happen, the International Student Programs office (ISP) organizes many leisure and extracurricular activities, such as island excursions, museum trips, skiing trips, dinner evenings, bowling, and camping trips. The International Student Association (I.A.) assists students with any problem they might have, and encourages international students to participate in an international organization or club. All together, there are many activities to participate in. To mention a few, there is the possibility to work for the newspaper, Polaris, or to help in the development of the Stage One Theater.

The college lies in the North-Gate area, a peaceful and safe place to live, about five miles from Downtown, Seattle. The modern campus is 25 hectares in size, where 4,5 of its hectares are wetland. The area is easy to reach, either with a car of public transportation. The campus offers its students study rooms equipped with modern computer technology, and a sport complex with basketball courts, a track, weight room, and an aerobic studio. To eat or take a break, students go to the Espresso Lounge, cafeteria, The North Star Dining Room, or the Munch Mart.
